Frisky Goat @ TTDI, Kuala Lumpur

~ Friskily good ~

Environment:
From 1Utama Shopping Mall across the Lebuhraya Damansara-Puchong (LDP) Highway, about 300 meters into Jalan Burhanuddin Helmi lies few rows of shops. And a particular one will surely gain your attention, Frisky Goat

First thought that immediately came to my mind was 'is having goat as a pet the new trend in TTDI'? Only when I drove closer did I managed to notice the smaller print at the bottom, 'bakery café' :P

From the outside, Frisky Goat looks like a pretty lay back café with few low tables and a cement high table outside, for patrons who prefer the outdoors.
Cozy and lay back, a nice cafe to get away from the busy township across LDP.
On the inside, the dim lights give out a comfy and cozy ambience, perfect for a hangout place, but not that suitable for paper works because of the low level of illumination. After all you are here to relax, not to work!

At the back section of this café you will notice lots of bakery trays pass the blue windows. Yes Frisky Goat bakes their own pastries and cakes (scroll down for pictures), and you could smell fresh baked breads as you walk through the doors. Yum!

Though, excuse me for being cheeky, but I notice the figurehead statue at the back of the café is of  a deer. Maybe a goat figurehead is harder to procure? Food for thought :P

Food & Beverage:
Besides the buttery bakeries and cakes, Frisky Goat serve good breakfast meal varieties such as eggs, sausages and waffles. Opening as early at 8am this morning means that the working class could come here for a wholesome breakfast and good refreshing coffee before continuing with their hectic life (hopefully not passing through the dreadfully busy LDP Highway).
Mocha (top), Cappuccino (bottom left), and Italian Iced Coffee (bottom right).
Iced Passion Lychee Tea.
Main courses such as pastas, soups and salads are available here too, from 12.00pm to 3.00pm and 6.00pm to 9.45pm). I had the Signature Cremy Pesto Fettucine with grilled chicken, with crispy sunflower seeds sprinkled around. The pesto sauce is home-made, and its as tasty as it looks :)

Want something light instead? There are some 'nibbles' available from 3.00pm to 9.45pm, including soft-shell crab, french fries, fried fish, and baby prawns.
Golden Soft-shell Crab with Asian dressing and side salad.
Freshly baked in-house cakes and pastries.
Good coffee and good food, but the most memorable delicacy I had from Frisky Goat is the Red Opera. Layered with raspberry cream and jam, with raspberry-flavored almond-like cubes at the top, this is one sweetening savor I won't be forgetting anytime soon. It's a raspberry fest!
Red Opera.
Wondering what is the dark red color thingy in the tantalizing tart? It's plum! Generous portion of plum in each slice of tart makes every bite a juicy one :)
Fresh Plum Tart.

Verdict:
A good and comfy place to lay back for a meal and coffee nearby the hectic Damansara commercial center. This cafe also bakes their own fresh pastries and cakes. One not to be missed, especially for raspberry lovers, is the Red Opera!
