~ Homey cozy café ~

Entrance to Blackstone Bakery Cafe.

Environment:
Located in central Bandar Botanic, above Vees Kitchen Appliances, lies a pleasant café called Blackstone. Few words that could be used to discribe this café are homely, cozy, and comfy. After removing your shoe (yep there's a no shoe policy here) and entering the café, you will be greeted by a Fortune Cat.
A Fortune Cat (Maneki Neko) greeting customers at the counter.
In the café, there are two distinct settings for customers to settle down: the Japanese-styled pillow + low table setting for a relaxed conversation over coffees with your friends, or the regular the kitchen table + chairs setting if you are planning to have a full course meal.

Notice that there is a safari-themed hanging chair at the front of the café that invites you to sit back, cozy up and relax. Garden lamps are placed around the low table area to give out an elegant and romantic setting while there are classical music playing in the background (Emi Fujita's album was on the playlist while I was there). At the wall near the low table area hung hundreds of cute little notes, including best wishes, love notes, cartoon drawings, etc.

Food & Beverage:
This café mainly serves coffee, cakes & pastry, and all-day brunch. Price list for beverages is available in the Fortune Cat picture above (at the blackboard behind the cat) and brunch below.
All-day brunch (only available on Fridays, Saturdays, and Sundays).
Slices of cakes.
Red Velvet with a scoop of ice cream.
Chocolate cream puff.
Bacon Ciabatta.
Hot cappuccino.
Hot Mocha.
During my first visit, I have tried the Bacon Ciabatta and a hot Mocha. They are both pretty good, but the highlight of my visit is the yogurt that comes along with the Bacon Ciabatta! According to the café owner, it is a passion fruit yogurt: the crispiness of the cereal, fruity sweet and sour taste from the passion fruit, and the milky yogurt just blend really well together.

Verdict:
A relaxing and cozy café to hangout on a lazy day, while indulging in some pastry and sipping some cappuccino. Don't forget to try the passion fruit yogurt!
