Environment:
Imagine the life of investment bankers, fund managers or actuaries without coffee to fuel their daily ambition :O Say goodbye to intelligent conversation!
Thankfully, Podgy & The Banker provides this social lubricant to the bankers in need of stimulant. Previously an EON Bank, this corner lot unit end of Jalan Sri Hartamas 8 (Plenitude Building ground floor) has been converted into a cafe with minimalist industrial design.

Large glass windows allows ample sunlight into the cafe, and a spacious greenery across the road provides a calming scenery from inside the cafe. Coupled with the metal and wood furnishing, this is a pretty nice place to start your day with your daily dose of "junior bankers' survival cocktail" :)

You will notice that there are a lot of capitalistic ideas implanted when designing the interior of Podgy & The Banker. Noticeable decors are the gold bars and safe box, the food and beverages menu behind the counter that is designed to look like a paper currency, a snapshot of Monopoly board game near the washroom, and many more. A point to note about Podgy & The Banker that I really appreciate is that this cafe subscribes daily newspapers for patron to peruse, such as the Star Newspaper. Multiple copies too, so that more patrons can update themselves on the latest news while sipping a cuppa.
Food & Beverage:
Do not let all the finance-y swayed decor scare you off. Podgy & The Banker's coffee and food prices are not inflated, but are priced similar to all the cafes around town.
Food available are mostly the breakfast and brunch varieties, including sandwiches, eggs, toasts, croissants, and quiches, available from 9am to 5pm.

Verdict:
With an environment like this, Podgy & The Banker is a pleasant place to start your hectic day with good breakfast and a cuppa.
