Environment:
Rustic - an adjective that many cafes claimed to be, but one cafe that really brings out the definition of this word is Doiffee.
Rustic concept.
The name Doiffee comes from the Thai word doi, which means highlands or mountain. Combining doi with coffee, a new vocabulary is born - Doiffee. :)
Cement walls, bricks, sliced planks - all homely material used to accessorized Doiffee
Located in the matured residential district Taman Desa, KL, Doiffee chooses to take on a rustic identity to bring about a homely and comfortable environment for caffeiniacs to enjoy their cuppa here. Choices of materials used in this cafe are usually characterized as homespun, such as plain cement walls, bricks, and sliced wooden planks. Very minimal metal element is used, which usually represents industrialized habitats, contrary with the homey and snugly warmth Doiffee wants to portray. Soothing music covers of latest hits brings this cafe alive, but not too loud till it interrupts conversation.
Outdoor sitting.
Certain parts of the cement / bricks walls around the cafe have frame-like spaces for arts and crafts to be hung. Take the brick walls on the left of the entrance, one patron suggested a 3D image of Superman to be placed in the 'frame', which makes it look like Superman plunging out of the wall. Any ideas of your own for these frames? Share them by commenting below. :)
Doiffee's entrance from the inside.
Notice there are two doors at the entrance of Doiffee? This arrangement provides just enough sunlight from penetrating into the cafe, not affecting the cozy environment inside. I cannot stress enough how beautifully rustic this entrance looks - on the left, bricks wall with uniform gaps provide geometrical ray of lights a way in, and a classic clock that might even be older than me; on the right, nicely shaped pots placed on glass racks; and in the middle, a furnace that can be seen from both sides of the wall. Doesn't it look like an entrance to a dungeon in Final Fantasy game? :P
Mirrors make Doiffee's space looks larger.
Besides the clock, there are many more 'relics' placed around the cafe. Can you spot them all?

Food & Beverage:
Doiffee serves espresso based coffee, powered by VBM (Vibiemme) coffee machine, with two blends for you to choose from - medium roast or dark roast. I personally prefer the medium roast, with bean supplies coming from Highlander Coffee.
Cappuccino with dark roast (top right), Flat White and Latte with medium roast (bottom).
For desserts, there are cakes such as mille crepes and Red Velvet; home made jelly - coffee flavored Coffee Delight and pandan flavored Emerald Jelly; and Kapiti ice cream all the way from New Zealand.
Oreo Crepe (left centre), Coffee Delight and Emerald Jelly (left bottom).
Cooked food will be available on September 2014 once Doiffee is officially launched, when their kitchen is fully operational. Stay tuned!

Verdict:
Very beautifully constructed interior that gives out a cozy and comfortable feeling. One cafe that truly brings out the definition of the adjective - rustic.
