Environment:
To some baristas, coffee is their canvas; while to Coffee Ink's owner, this cafe is his canvas. The resulting art? I will let the pictures below speak for themselves :)
Paintings placed around the cafe, all painted by the cafe's owner.
Started off as a blank canvas with just cement floors and white-painted wall, metal bars were attached around the cafe walls used to frame the cafe owner's paintings and artworks. Palettes were added with cushion on top, converted into comfy chairs.
Drawings on the wall.
Why waste money on wallpapers if you can draw or paint them yourselves? Coffee Ink's owner make full use of his artistic talent by doing just that.

You will notice few hand-drawn paintings on the wall and floor of this cafe, and the most impressive one? The two fighting fish in front of the counter. According to the owner, the idea came about when he accidentally dripped a few drops of shellac on the floor while furbishing this cafe. To cover it up, he drew the two beautiful fighting fishes that are now tasked to greet every incoming patrons at the entrance :)
Fighting fish paintings, using shellac!

Food & Beverage:
We have covered to 'Ink' part, next up is the 'Coffee' part. All the usual ones are available here, but the one you ought to try (not just because of its provocative name) is the Dirty Chai - shot of espresso added with exotic spicy fragrance similar to those in chai teas. Get ready to spice up your day :)
Cappuccino (left) and Mocha (right).
Dirty Chai (left) and the Otha Mocha (right).
Chocolate lovers will like the Otha Mocha, which is basically a Mocha with extra chocolate added in it. Belgian Chocolate is not to be missed too, with generous chocolate flakes added at the top, slowing melting as you sip it.

Besides coffee, Coffee Ink is famous for their mille crepes. More than 10 varieties are available, and you will want to come back and try them all!
Mille Crepes: Baileys (top left), Varlhana Crunchy Choc (top right) and Devil's Choc (bottom left).
Early May 2014, Coffee Ink has started to expand their menu by serving main courses as well. First one on their list is the most important meal of the day, Big Benedict Breakfast. Pretty well done I would say, especially the beans which are made in-house.

Expect more main courses to come. Feel free to share your thoughts below on any other dishes you would like to see available in Coffee Ink :)

Verdict:
Easily one of the hippi-est cafe you could find around Bukit Tinggi area, serving good coffee and mille crepes. Check out the unique artworks and hand-drawn paintings all around the cafe.

  2. Most vinyl sheets are open in "Press Jolt" and can be presented over existing surfaces tallying concrete, tile, wood, and vinyl with a clear tongue-and-groove click-together strategy.
